In the Spirit of Vincent: Artist Statement
Vincent van Gogh is my jumping off point, and who could ask for a better muse! The beauty of Vincent’s less known floral series captivated my imagination. From there, I painted images of my travels, my garden, and my own version of his masterpieces. The focus in the series is to capture a feeling through the subject – anima mundi or what I call “feelism versus realism”.
